John Nordberg - Founder

 

John is the founder of Upward Trend Marketing Partners, LLC. He has an extensive and successful track record in marketing with deep expertise in B2B, tech, and telecom.  

 

Prior to founding Upward Trend Marketing Partners, John was Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications for AT&T Business. In that position he led teams responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategy and plans for AT&T's $65 billion+ business segment. During his career he has held leadership positions in Marketing Communications, Advertising, Direct Marketing, Product Management, Direct and Indirect Channel Marketing, and Product Marketing. He has successfully launched new products and services, and run advertising and demand generation campaigns, in both SMB and Enterprise markets.

 

John is a no-nonsense marketer adept at translating technical jargon into simple, relevant customer-centric messages and stories that resonate with buyers and influencers. He is skilled in the development and execution of marketing plans, goal-setting, tracking, reporting, and analysis. He also has a background in content marketing, social media, customer testimonial development, market research, and voice of the customer.

 

John’s educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from the University of Illinois.

Susan Nordberg - Managing Partner

 

As Managing Partner, Susan oversees the overall management and day-to-day operations for Upward Trend Marketing Partners. She brings exceptional organizational, management, and leadership skills to the business.  

 

Susan’s background includes experience in sales and marketing for top consumer product companies. She has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing for Procter & Gamble's Paper Product and Laundry Care divisions. Susan’s management experience includes both employee teams and product specific business units for P&G. She provided sales leadership on multifunctional new product initiative teams and managed employee teams in her role as Central Region Sales Manager.       

 

Susan also has experience in sales and marketing with Schering-Plough working on various over-the-counter product lines. She led the strategic business planning process, conducted business analysis, and developed/evaluated results of regional customer promotion plans. In addition, Susan oversaw business development in the Midwest region as well as the Walgreens and Kmart national accounts for the Coppertone suntan line.

 

Susan’s educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from the University of Illinois.
